five times a day, every day

Mughal prayer mat
Mughal Empire, circa 1650

Five niches. Five prayers. The same call for 1,400 years.

What is Hudhur?

Built on a 1,400 year old tradition.

In the earliest days of Islam, five times a day, the world would stop. The merchant would leave his stall. The scholar would set down his pen. That same call has not changed. Only we have grown harder to reach.

Hudhur locks your phone at every prayer time so there is nothing between you and salah. No notifications. No distractions. No excuses.

"Verily, the prayer is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours."

Surah An-Nisa — 4:103

How it works

Step I — Location

It finds your prayer times

Detects your location automatically. Pulls accurate times from the Aladhan API. Supports every major calculation method. Nothing to configure.

Step II — The lock

Your phone locks at the athan

Full-screen lock activates at each prayer time. You cannot open any app or switch away. Default is thirty minutes. Works even when the app is closed.

Step III — Confirmation

Did you pray?

One question when the timer ends. Your answer is private, stored only on your device. Builds your thirty-day record. No cloud. No account.

Also!

On Fridays, Dhuhr lock extends to 45 min for Jumuah. Emergency calls always pass through.
